I hope this will help someone. My cook county case and experience with Alex Ktenas from 2022-2024. I had the fortunate luck of coming across Alex Ktenas for a DUI/DWI case I was facing. I weighed my options as this was a potential second infraction: I had a lawyer from a prior case 9 years ago that never really explained the outcome (Alex and his associates explained it to me almost a decade later), a family friend/lawyer, a former states attorney in the same courtroom my case was in or Google a “better option”. I’m happy to have rolled the dice and settled on Mr. Alex Ktenas and his practice. I reached out and 15 minutes later I was on the phone with Alex. He asked me to read him tickets and documents that were foreign to me. With clarity, non judgement and professionalism (sympathy, compassion and positivity) Alex based on his years of experience was able to give likely scenarios, based on the courtroom I was assigned and court date. He had a very reasonable rate and in hindsight for the representation and hard work an absolute bargain and modern payment options (zelle). He won my rescind, suspension on a second offense ( a small miracle) and as we prepared for my court date, life got in the way. I was in a serious accident. My case dragged on for over a year due to my medical condition and surgeries. Alex never wavered, demanded more money or treated me like a number or paycheck. He encouraged me to get better and told me to let him worry about my case. Things went from good to promising to bad with my case. I trusted Alex and in the end he trusted me. My case was reduced to reckless ( they had found out my first offense was dismissed from 9 years earlier unknown to me), minimal fines and some provisional agreements. The reckless could potentially be dismissed as well. Blessed to have had Alex represent me. Alex, is from a family of lawyers and I think that shines through most. Alex and his associates treat and represent you how they would want a family member treated and represented . His reputation and respect he received in the courtroom was like out of a movie. I had heard the family friend / lawyer guy, always complaining about judges and former co workers. I’m glad I went with Alex Ktenas, a great lawyer and even better human being. It reflects in his working relationships within the court system. When the judges are asking about his family members mid trial and courtroom proceedings, that’s a great sign and feeling of an attorney’s attorney. Bonus points for being a normal, brotherly type. Doesn’t speak down or have a negative outlook. Simply focuses on the positive. Won’t promise you the world BUT worked his tail off for me. I came across many reviews like this. Hopefully you won’t need him for what I had hired him for BUT if you do, Alex, is the lawyer for the job. Thanks, again. Life changer !

My experience with Ktenas Law was Un Freakin Believable ! Attorney Alex was very serious at each court appearance by zoom! You could actually see the seriousness written on his face while speaking with All the Judges! Attorney was able get my DUI completely dropped ! Wow I’m Amazed ! Alex Ktenas, is by far the best attorney I’ve ever had the pleasure of hiring. He got my second DUI reduced to a reckless, with minimal community service and minimal fines. I had made a dumb mistake (again). I had the lawyer’s card from the 1st time, as I debated calling him. I decided to Google DUI lawyers , Alex Ktenas, name popped up and the reviews were sparkling. I placed a quick call and immediately got in contact with Alex. We talked and in the first 15 minutes of our conversation, I was already more informed and confident than I was with the 1st lawyer I used. Alex, thoroughly explained my tickets to me, some likely scenarios based on prosecutors and courtrooms. We discussed some strategies as he works backwards (the worst outcomes). His experience really shines through and I was confident I would be well represented. I don’t think you could find a better DUI lawyer. The price was a bargain. There were also modern payment options (zelle). As I decided to hire him he immediately went to work, trying to protect my license, which on a second DUI can be a wing and a prayer / Hail Mary. He recognized the prosecutor, courtroom and possible Judges and leveraged his experience. He saved my license from suspension. Then I had an unfortunate accident and long story short, what should have been a relatively quick case was dragged out over a year. Alex, never pressured me, rushed me, demanded more money other than what was agreed upon even though the case dragged on over a year because of my medical issues and surgeries. We got back into court and Alex’s reputation with prosecutors and Judges really helped my case. Not only a great lawyer, but a great human being. I was blessed , no one was harmed, and the case was reduced to reckless and after two year supervision will be dismissed, 250 hours community service and a $1500 fine. Nothing is a sure thing, but if you want a lawyer to really work for you and give you a honest effort, I can’t recommend, Alex Ktenas enough !! Thanks again, Alex !!!

If you’re reading this review, you’re probably looking for a lawyer. And if you’re looking for a lawyer, you can stop looking now and just call Alex. You will not regret it. I was arrested for a DUI and avoided a license suspension, car breathalyzer, and all charges were dismissed because of Alex and his knowledge and skills in the court room. After he fought (and won) to not have my license suspended, the Marshal stopped me on my way out to congratulate me and tell me how lucky I was to have such a good lawyer. I am confident I would not have had anywhere close to as good of an outcome/ experience had I gone with any other lawyer/ firm. Alex is always available and willing to answer any questions and explains everything in a way that makes it much easier to understand. He made the whole process as enjoyable as one can be when fighting a DUI. I cannot recommend him enough. I’d hand his business card out everywhere I went if he asked me to. And if you hire him, you’d end up asking to join me in doing that.
